HELLO!
I am Sadie Thompson, a born and raised Texan now living in Toowoomba, Australia.
I grew up in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. I am an artist and musician and lover of people. I am passionate about a lot of things and I credit that to my parents who taught me to take what God puts in front of me and run with it.
I ended up here in Toowoomba, Australia for just that reason. God gave me a wonderful opportunity to follow and trust Him and I said yes so here I am, a missionary in Australia. I never saw it coming.
I work with an organization called Youth With A Mission, or YWAM, for short. Our mantra is "Know God and make Him known." You can find out more about YWAM here.

In January of 2018, I did an Arts & Mercy Discipleship Training School here at YWAM Toowoomba. It was a wonderful 5 months and I learned so much about who God is and what He has called me to do.
I fell in love with Toowoomba, this base, and the passion in the people here. On week 1 of my DTS, God asked me to stay and staff after I graduated from the school. I prayed and talked to mentors and God quickly confirmed that he, indeed, called me to this.

This season (six months), my role within YWAM is Admissions/Media. I'll be serving the base and being a part of the background team, sending others out to serve the world. I am excited about this role and excited to connect with students and missionaries who come through our base.
